Jamf Pro is the hosted mobile device management (MDM) system used by WVU to manage and configure client devices running the following Apple operating systems: macOS, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS. Jamf functionality includes application deployment, policy enforcement, update management, automated device resets, reporting, inventory, and remote management tools. All WVU owned Mac computers are required to be enrolled in the Jamf Pro MDM service. The Self Service application is available to devices enrolled in Jamf Pro, giving users a single portal to access and install any applications, printers, or policy items available to them. 

All WVU owned Mac computers are required to be enrolled in the Jamf Pro MDM service. Enrollment is automated when Apple devices are purchased through Mountaineer Marketplace. Academic IT groups at WVU may request elevated permissions and access to the Jamf Pro administration console, allowing them to manage the devices that fall under their support.
