Use the steps below to install a network printer on a Windows 10 computer or a Mac. These steps are for computers on Active Directory and Azure AD. Please note these steps are for departments supported by ITS. If your department is not supported by ITS Deskside Support, view our list of college and regional support contacts.
If you complete the following steps and do not see the network printer you want to add to your computer, submit a WVU IT request.
Install a Network Printer on a Windows 10 computer
On the bottom left corner of the screen, click the Magnifying Glass next to the Start Menu. Type Install Printers and press Enter.
A window with a list of printers you have access to will appear. Scroll through the printer list and double-click the Printer you’d like to install.
You may be asked for permission to install the driver. If so, select Install Driver.
During the installation process, you may see a few different boxes appear. These are normal and don't require any action.
Once the printer is successfully installed, the print queue dialog box will appear.

Install a Network Printer on a Mac
Open the Self Service application from the applications folder.
Note: If Self Service is not installed on your Mac, or you do not see any printers listed, contact your desk-side support.Log in with your WVU Login credentials.
Under Print and Scan, find your printer and click Install.
Note: If Print and Scan is missing from self-service, it is likely that you do not have a printer available to you yet and will need to request access through contacting desk-side support.If your department requires a copier code, you will need to apply the code before you are able to print.
