ITS can provide SSL certificates for .wvu.edu websites, as well as WVU owned servers. SSL certificates are signed by a trusted 3rd party certificate authority and are valid for one year. A new request must be submitted each year for renewal. ITS will send a courtesy email in advance of the renewal date as a reminder to submit a request.

Requests for any non-WVU site (.com, .net, etc.) are not handled by WVU.
Eligibility
Anyone who owns or maintains a .wvu.edu website, or manages a WVU owned server, may submit a request for this service.
Cost
SSL certificates cost approximately $10 per domain per year. A WVU funding string is required to complete this request.
