Copying content instructions

Instructors, POCs and Course Builders may copy content from another instructor’s credit course if they have the content owner’s approval. You may also copy content from your own development course to another.

  1. Log into the eCampus Request System (eRS) at ers.wvu.edu

  2. Select Create Request

  3. Select Content

  4. Select if you are copying content for a credit course or development course

For credit courses, you will need to know the term and section for the course that you are copying content to. For development courses, you will have the ability to select your development course based on your access in eCampus.

Information needed to copy content

When copying content from a credit course, you must know either the term and Course Reference Number (CRN), or the term, course number, and section number for the course to ensure your request will process correctly.

For additional information, refer to the copying content guide

 Approval needed to copy content

The instructor or department chair who owns the content will need to send their approval by email to the eCampus team for you to use their course content. The eRS request will not be completed until we receive the approval.
