If you're not receiving emails after deleting the Clutter folder, read this article to learn why this happens and how you can prevent it.

Problem

You deleted the Clutter folder in Outlook and are not receiving emails. When someone tries to send you an email, it may appear with the following message:

Remote Server returned '554 5.2.0 STOREDRV.Deliver.Exception:ObjectNotFoundException.MapiExceptionNotFound; Failed to process message due to a permanent exception with message Cannot get ID from name.

Exchange Online bounced a message back to the sender.

Solution

This is a known issue with Microsoft. The Clutter folder may be disabled but not deleted. To resolve the problem, turn the Clutter feature off then on to recreate the missing Clutter folder. Once the Clutter folder is recreated, you may choose to disable the feature using the same instructions.

If you are still unable to receive emails, contact the ITS Service Desk or submit a ticket.
