The WV Kids Connect initiative is designed to support students’ access to their school assignments outside of school hours and when learning remotely by providing more than 1,000 wireless hotspots across West Virginia. These hotspots will be located in parking lots at public schools, higher education institutions, libraries and state parks. This article covers how to connect to Kids Connect Wi-Fi. 

Accessing to WV Kids Connect Wi-Fi:    

  1. Locate the wireless/WiFi connections on your device and select WVKidsConnect.

  2. Open your Internet browser session.

  3. Read and accept the Acceptable Use message.

  4. Check the consent box.

  5. Click the Continue to Internet tab

West Virginia K-12 students can use Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the state to download and submit class assignments every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. To view a map of Wi-Fi hotspot locations and learn more, visit WV Kids Connect. Three of these are hotspots are located on WVU campuses: 

  • Morgantown: Area 49 parking lot by the Rec Center

  • Keyser: Kelley Drive near the Armory

  • Beckley: Along Riley street by Facilities building
