Keeper is a password management tool replacing LastPass. LastPass users will be notified via email when they are scheduled to be migrated to Keeper.
Access Keeper
Keeper can be accessed through a desktop client or online through the Web Vault.
Web Vault: Go to the Web Vault log in page and sign in using your email address. You will be redirected to a WVU Single-Sign On screen and prompted to authenticate with Duo.
Desktop client: Download the Keeper desktop client. When you first log in, the client will prompt to verify your machine. You can use a Keeper push, which sends the approval to your Web Vault.
Request a Keeper account
Supervisors may request Keeper accounts for their employees. Submit a request or contact the ITS Service Desk.
Migrate credentials from LastPass to Keeper
Most credentials and folders stored in LastPass will be automatically migrated to Keeper; however, some personal or non-shared folders may not be included.
If you are missing credentials in Keeper after the migration, follow these steps:
First, ensure you have the Keeper desktop client installed and log in to the client.
Click on your account email in the upper right-hand corner.
Click Settings then Import.
Choose LastPass.
Input your LastPass Email and Password and click Next.
Note: If you select Include shared folders you may get duplicates of the shared folders already imported.Review the import and map fields if needed. If you intend to share all first-level folders, check the box Import Root Level Folders as Shared. By selecting this option, all first-level folders will become shared.
Click Import.
