What is Microsoft Teams?

Teams is an Office 365 application used for collaboration. Teams provides a chat-centered workspace where groups and individuals can quickly communicate, meet, and share files.

  • Meeting hosting and scheduling

  • Audio conferencing

  • File sharing and storage

Who can use Microsoft Teams?

WVU employees given an Office 365 account are able to access Teams.

Users without an active WVU account and HSC users may be added as guests in Teams.

What is included?

  • Up to 100 participants per meeting

  • 5 GB of cloud storage per user

  • Data encryption for meetings, chats, calls, and files
