Current WVU students, current employees and emeritus employees are entitled to install Microsoft Office Mobile on their Apple iPhone/iPad or Android devices through our Office 365 license. HSC employees can find instructions for downloading applications on the HSC Office 365 Resources page.
Please review the system requirements to ensure this will run on your device, and ensure your Login account has been activated so that you will be able to install this software.

Steps to install Office Mobile on an Apple iPhone or iPad
Visit Microsoft's System Requirements page for information about supported Apple devices.
Go to the App Store.
Search for the apps you wish to install. For example, search for Microsoft Word.
Tap Free or Get next to the app and then tap Install.
Provide your iTunes password and then tap OK.
Tap Open then Sign In.
Enter your WVU Login credentials and authenticate with Duo.
Tap Sign In. If you are prompted with Stay signed in to all apps options, uncheck the Allow my organization to manage my device option and tap No, sign in to this app only.
Additional information about installing OneNote:
If you install Microsoft OneNote, the app may ask for credentials for a separate account in which to store notes. For students, this can potentially be a personal Microsoft OneDrive account that can be created through Microsoft.
Faculty and staff wishing to connect OneNote to their WVU OneDrive for Business space will need to log in with a personal Microsoft account before being able to access the Settings and Accounts menus, which allow for the addition of an Office 365 account and connection to OneDrive for Business.
Steps to install Office Mobile on an Android phone
Please note that due to variances among manufacturers and models of Android devices, the steps on this page may differ from what you experience. Visit Microsoft's System Requirements page for information about supported Android devices.
Open the Google Play / Play Store on your Android device.
Search for "microsoft office mobile" and then select Microsoft Office Mobile from the results on the Apps page.
Tap INSTALL.
Review the items shown and then tap ACCEPT.
Tap OPEN.
Review the Use Terms and then tap Accept.
Tap the arrow key four times to advance through the informational screens.
Tap Get started.
Enter your WVU Login credentials and authenticate with Duo.
Tap Sign in. If you are prompted with Stay signed in to all apps options, uncheck the Allow my organization to manage my device option and tap No, sign in to this app only.

If you are repeatedly prompted for your username and password, please try creating and using a separate Microsoft personal account and authenticating with it. This account also provides students with cloud-based space through Microsoft's personal OneDrive system.
