Courses, current features, and workflows in eCampus will not change. They will look and operate exactly as they do now. However, the way some tools are launched will change. These tools, like WVU SEI, will be accessed under the Tools tab in the Ultra Base Navigation menu and the learning academy course catalog is accessed on the Courses tab.
Benefits of Ultra Base Navigation
Modern, intuitive user experience. Instructor and students will enjoy a simple, intuitive, engaging user experience.
Works well on mobile devices. This navigation is designed to work well regardless of which devices are being used.
Aggregates important information. All the course information, like calendar, messages, and grades, is now consolidated into one global view, minimizing the time spent navigating into through each individual course.
Items are only one click away. Users can click on items that need attention, and they will be taken directly there, minimizing clicks and saving time.
Ultra Base Navigation Features
Institution Page: Find information , and helpful resources about eCampus and WVU.
Profile: View your profile, select language, edit privacy settings and set up notifications for course activities.
Pronunciation display and recording: Users can add text guidance and an audio recording of their name to their user profile.
Activity Stream: See up-to-the-minute action for all the courses.
Notification Settings: Set up notifications for course activities.
Courses: Navigate to past, present, and future courses.
Organizations: WVU does not use this tool
Calendar: View course events and due dates for all the courses.
Messages: View and send messages in all of the courses.
Grades: Check your grades for all courses.
Tools: Access global functions that are outside of the courses e.g., WVU SEI.
