ALEKS (Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces) is a math testing platform used to measure a student’s mathematical knowledge. ALEKS exam scores are used for math course placementsaccessed through ecampus.wvu.edu. All first-time freshman admits must take the ALEKS exam as part of their New Student Orientation (NSO), and exam scores are used for WVU math course placements. To access the ALEKS exam, log into ecampus.wvu.edu. Select Courses from the left-hand navigation panel then select the ALEKS Placement course.
If the ALEKS Placement course isn’t visible, click Course Catalog in the right-hand corner and search “ALEKS.” Hover over the ALEKS Placement Course ID corresponding to your enrollment year, click the drop-down arrow, then select Enroll.
