  1. Open the Start menu.

  2. Type “control panel” and click Control Panel from the menu.

  3. Click Network and Internet.

  4. Click Network and Sharing Center.

  5. Click Set up a new connection or network.

  6. Click Manually connect to a wireless network.

  7. Enter the network name as WVU.Encrypted. Set the Security type to WPA2-Enterprise and Encryption type to AES. Click Next.

  8. Click Change connection settings.

  9. Click the Security Tab. Make sure the authentication method is Protected EAP (PEAP) and then click the settings button.

  10. Verify the identity of the server by marking the checkbox to validate the certificate. Scroll down the list of trusted root certificates and select select DigiCert Global Root CAG2. If you don't have that root certificate, you can download it at the bottom of this page.

  11. Make sure the authentication method is EAP-MSCHAP v2 and click Configure.

  12. Make sure the option to automatically connect is NOT checked.

  13. Click OK on previous screens to return to the WVU.Encrypted Network Properties. Click Advanced settings.

  14. Make sure that Specify authentication mode is checked and select User authentication from the drop down menu. Click OK when complete.

  15. Click the wireless icon in the task tray.

  16. Select WVU.Encrypted and click Connect.

  17. Use your Login credentials to access the wireless network.

  18. You should now be connected.
