  1. Go to the App Store.

  2. Search for the apps you wish to install. For example, search for Microsoft Word.

  3. Tap Free or Get next to the app and then tap Install.

  4. Provide your iTunes password and then tap OK.

  5. Tap Open then Sign In.

  6. Enter your WVU Login credentials and authenticate with Duo. WVU Login username followed by @mail.wvu.edu when asked for an email address or username and use your Login password for the password. Although WVU student email addresses end in @mix.wvu.edu, students should use @mail.wvu.edu for Microsoft Office. This is a special username for activating your license, and is not an email address that can be used elsewhere.

  7. Tap Sign In. If you are prompted with Stay signed in to all apps options, uncheck the Allow my organization to manage my device option and tap No, sign in to this app only.

  4. Review the items shown and then tap ACCEPT.

If you are repeatedly prompted for your username and password, please try creating and using a separate Microsoft personal account and authenticating with it. This account also provides students with cloud-based space through Microsoft's personal OneDrive system.
