The Mountaineer Maniacs are the largest student organization on campus and the premiere student group for Mountaineer athletics. The Maniac section is the official student section for WVU sports. The organization supports Mountaineer athletic teams and helps promote good sportsmanship as well as Mountaineer pride and tradition.

When signing - up to be a Mountaineer Maniac, you can choose from the Basic Membership or the Ultimate Membership.
Basic Maniac?Maniacs: The Basic Membership Maniac membership does not include guaranteed football tickets. If you have the Basic Membership, view our Athletic Tickets FAQ article.
Ultimate Maniac? If you have the Ultimate Membership, complete the steps outlined in our Athletic Tickets FAQ article, except for one step. Instead of selecting Senior Spirit Section 121 or Upper Deck or Lower Deck, you must select the Maniacs: You must select the Maniacs section to reserve your guaranteed football ticket. Even Even though your ticket is guaranteed, you must still claim your ticket during the 2-day ticket claim phase. While claiming your ticket, you must select the Maniacs section.Note: As As an Ultimate Maniac member, you forfeit your guaranteed ticket if you select any of the other sections when requesting a ticket. If you selected a different section, re-request a ticket in the Maniacs section if the registration period is still open. If it is not, try to request a ticket during the print-on-demand period.
Basketball Games

Ultimate Maniacs are not guaranteed a basketball ticket. Basketball Maniacs are students who went to the pre-game event, stayed for the Gold/Blue Debut, and typed their information on provided laptops. Only these students received a guaranteed ticket for the Men's Basketball season.
