Follow these steps if you are unable to log in to MAP after receiving a Java error message reading “General exception: Your security settings have blocked a self-signed application from running”.
Sign in to MAP. Choose a navigation path.
In the message at the bottom, choose Keep.
Click jnlp. Choose Open.
You may receive an error message that the application was blocked by Java security. Click OK.
From your computer’s Start menu, type Configure Java.
In the Java Control Panel, click the Security tab.
Click Edit Site List.
Click the Add button.
Enter the URL of the instance in the Location field and click OK. For example, for MAP Production, enter https://mapprod.wvu.edu and click OK.

https://mapdev.wvu.edu
https://maptest.wvu.edu
https://mapstage2.wvu.edu
https://mapstage6.wvu.edu
https://mapde1.wvu.edu
Click OK in the Security tab.
Try logging in again, repeating steps one through three.
