Are you having problems with pop-ups, your home page changing, or various unauthorized programs installing and running? If so, your system is most likely infected with spyware, ad-ware or mal-ware.
You can either attempt to remove the problems yourself by downloading and running an anti-spyware program such as Spybot or Ad-Aware, or you can take your computer to an ITS Walk-up support location to have it checked and cleaned. Spyware removal charges/fees will apply.
Try several well-established sites on the Internet (for example, microsoft.com, google.com).
If these sites load quickly, the problem is most likely related to the site you are trying to access or the application you are using. The site may be experiencing temporary problems, so try again later.
If these sites load slowly or don't load at all, the problem is most likely the University's Internet connection or a problem with your computer. Call the ITS Service Desk at 304-293-4444 or raise or raise a request to report the issue.
